Here at Auto Revival, we’re all about getting the most out of our driving experiences. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to do that when you’re stuck in traffic! There are lots of great places to get out on the open road in America, but there are also many congested cities. These are the places that you want to avoid if you want to be able to enjoy the benefits of driving.
New York
Unsurprisingly, New York features on our list. We’ve all seen how bad the traffic can back up in New York, so you’re going to want to drive with caution if you’re heading out there. Try and visit during quiet times such as early morning or late at night if possible.
Chicago
Although you might expect that Chicago would be one of the worst examples on our list, it’s a lot better than most of them. Still, you can’t expect to visit a big place like Chicago and not have to deal with any traffic! Get ready for a slow drive.
Washington
There aren’t many capital cities in the world that don’t have to deal with heavy amounts of traffic. Washington is no exception, so get prepared for a stress-filled day!
Los Angeles
Los Angeles is one of the worst culprits when it comes to traffic. Of course, this depends on where you go and what times you visit. In many cases, it regularly tops the list in terms of the worst cities for traffic.
San Francisco
Finally, we’re picking San Francisco as another traffic-filled city. That doesn’t mean there aren’t other places in the USA that can be bad for traffic, though. Detroit, Boston and much more are also difficult to navigate in certain areas.
How To Drive In Traffic
Driving in traffic can be quite a tough experience, especially if it isn’t something you’d normally deal with. You need to concentrate heavily at all times, both on your own driving and the driving of others. When there are more people around, and they’re in a rush, they are more likely to cause an accident. If an accident does occur, don’t panic. Take records of the scene, exchange details with the perpetrator, and seek help from car accident lawyers.
Hopefully, though, you won’t have to deal with any accidents while you’re out there. The good thing is that in traffic, there aren’t going to be any high-speed collisions! Sitting in traffic can be very boring, though, and I get that. Unfortunately, you’ve got no choice. The only thing you can do is try and manage your stress levels to ensure that your trip is a relaxing one. It’s a stressful environment, but if you can manage those feelings effectively, you are much less likely to cause an accident.
Remember that if you’re going to accept a job or move to an area in the middle of the big city, this is something you’ll have to deal with. As a car lover, you might get quite frustrated with not being able to unleash your car’s potential. Consider this before making that big decision!
